Getting Started Tutorial

If you are new to the world of Click PhotoBooks and even computers in general, the task of creating one can seem rather daunting. There is no need to worry though, because the guide below will help you get your creativity started. If you do find yourself lost at any point, please look at our FAQ or get in contact with our friendly staff.
 

Step 1.

Fill out the details fields for the software download and download the free software.
 

Step 2.

Once you have installed and opened the software, a create product window will be visible.By default create new will be selected (load from file is for opening a previous project).Click next and select a product.Once a product has been selected changing products will start a new project and your work so far will not move to the new product but can be saved to your hard drive for future use.
 

Step 3.

At this next stage settings for manual or automatic placement of the photos can be selected as well as the location the photos are stored can be set. These settings are a guide and pictures can be moved etc from inside the program after.
 

Tip. It is a good idea to place all the images you choose to use into a separate folder. This will be easier than sifting through all of your images. If you choose to use images from a CD, the CD will need to be in the drive every time you start the software

 

Step 4.

To the left of the screen you can select where the images are stored under "My Hard Disk" and the images in the selected folder will be displayed as thumbnail images. Clicking on the icon next to "My Pictures" will show choices to sort your photos. The photos can be dragged and dropped to the image boxes as required.
 

Step 5.

To the top right of the screen are the background choices and they can be dragged and dropped onto the page. There are more choices as you scroll down including the ability to add backgrounds stored on your Hard Disk. To remove backgrounds simply drag and drop the remove background image at the top and the background image will be removed.
 

Step 6.

At the lower right of the screen are the templates list and there is a drop down list of other choices available depending on whether a cover or a page is selected.
 

Step 7.

The main screen shows the current page you are working on and right clicking displays more choices for text and images.

Step 8.

When you are ready to purchase your book, click on the shopping trolley icon.
If you have a voucher, enter the voucher details in the voucher tab.
If you are supporting a registered sporting association, school, charity or community group. Enter your organisations SPONSOR CODE in the sponsors code field when purchasing.
To find the Sponsor Code for your organisation, use our organization list or search feature to locate the code.
